Hat Burning Workshop
with Designz by Heather!
Workshops are all at Designz by Heather Studio - 1729 Snyder Hill Road Cortland, NY. Please park on the side of the garage and enter through the front man door of the garage. Then proceed to the rear center through the double French doors.

Beginner level - Hat Burning Workshop!
This workshop utilizes simple, single line designs (nothing overly detailed) and an easy to burn on fabric. Of course, you are welcome to create something unique and free hand your design, add shading and extras as desired within the class time allotted. The more detailed the design and the larger it is, the longer it will take to finish your hat. You may want to opt for a more simple design to ensure you have time to finish. If you are unable to finish, you will need to schedule and pay for additional time at the Designz by Heather Studio at a mutually agreed upon day and time.
Registration is $75 and includes:
Vegan Suede Rancher Hat
Template
Embellishments (ribbon, lace, feathers, etc.)
Workshop includes SIX embellishments...
Materials needed to prep, stencil, and burn graphic design
(graphic, material to transfer image, tool* to burn graphic on hat).
*Tool is for use in the studio (not to take home)
Premium hats are available for purchase in person at the event. Premium hats are an additional $20 (these are vegan suede, with a slightly smaller brim + elastic band inside brim).
When registering, please select which template you would like (templates are fitted to position on hat as shown in photo - you can rearrange the layout and/or remove elements). Registration is for one seat.
Each guest will need their own registration. We do not allow unregistered guests to observe.
Want to add personalization to one of the graphics below? You can add initials or name for an additional $5.00. NOTE: You need to include your initials and or name in the pop up box at checkout. If you do not, I will use the name on the registration and payment info. We do not prepare additional materials or make changes to templates at the start of the workshop.
Want a custom graphic? Drop us an email - custom designs are $25 (this includes a digital mock up and one revision. Additional images/revisions will cost extra).
Note: This workshop uses a heat tool. No guests under the age of 16 are allowed to attend. (I will be having separate classes for kids to paint hats.) You also have to check and agree to the liability form at checkout stating that you understand the risks associated with using a heat tool. All guests in attendance must be registered (due to liability reasons, we do not allow unregistered guests to be in the studio during workshops). Terms and conditions (at checkout) release Designz by Heather or the establishment hosting the event from any accidental burning. All guests are to use caution when operating heat tools to ensure the safety of all guests/studio furniture/equipment.
Be sure to complete ALL areas of questions at checkout. Hat color, design, and any personalized info if adding. Also be sure to read and check liability form.

LIABILITY WAIVER: (YOU WILL NEED TO CHECK BOX AT CHECKOUT TO AGREE)
BY CHECKING THIS BOX I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I READ AND UNDERSTAND THE FOLLOWING LIABILITY WAIVER FOR THIS CLASS:
In consideration of the risk of injury that exists while participating in Hat Burning (hereinafter the “Activity”); and In consideration of my desire to participate in said Activity and being given the right to participate in same; I hereby, for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, assigns, or personal representatives (hereinafter collectivity, “Releasor,” “I” or “me”, which terms shall also include Releasor’s parents or legal guardians if Releasor is under 18 years of age) knowingly and voluntarily enter into this WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY and hereby waive any and all rights, claims or causes of action of any kind arising out of participation in the Activity; and I hereby release and forever discharge [DESIGNZ BY HEATHER, 1729 SNYDER HILL ROAD CORLAND NY 13045], their affiliates, managers, members, agents, attorneys, staff, volunteers, heirs, representatives, predecessors, successors and assigns (collectively “Releases”), from any physical or psychological injury that I may suffer as a direct result of my participation in the aforementioned Activity.
I AM VOLUNTARILY PARTICIPATING IN THE AFOREMENTIONED ACTIVITY AND I AM PARTICIPATING IN THE ACTIVITY ENTIRELY AT MY OWN RISK. I AM AWARE OF THE RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH PARTICIPATING IN THIS ACTIVITY, WHICH MAY INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: PHYSICAL OR PSYCHOLOGICAL INJURY, PAIN, SUFFERING, ILLNESS, DISFIGUREMENT, TEMPORARY OR PERMANENT DISABILITY, ECONOMIC OR EMOTIONAL LOSS. I UNDERSTAND THAT THESE INJURIES OR OUTCOMES MAY ARISE FROM MY OWN OR OTHERS’ NEGLIGENCE, CONDITIONS RELATED TO TRAVEL TO AND FROM THE ACTIVITY, OR FROM CONDITIONS AT THE ACTIVITY LOCATION. NONETHELESS, I ASSUME ALL RELATED RISKS, BOTH KNOWN AND UNKNOWN TO ME, OF MY PARTICIPATION IN THIS ACTIVITY.
I further agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the Releasees against any and all claims, suits or actions of any kind whatsoever for liability, damages, compensation or otherwise brought by me or anyone on my behalf, including attorney’s fees and any related costs.
This waiver and release of liability shall remain in effect for the duration of my participation in the Activity during this initial and subsequent events of participation.
